29 ✨️ 28 was amazing, and I'm sure 29 will be 29 ✨️ 28 was amazing, and I'm sure 29 will be a blast 🎉 I could have added 100000 pictures to this post, but here's just a few of my favorite things from the last year. 1. Meeee 2. the day Boston refused to go to school, the first time. 3. Callen's personality has gotten bigger and brighter this year, and I have loved every second of it. He's as goofy as they come. 4. the moment that made all the hours of shopping, wrapping, and prepping worth it. 5. my kids have grown so close this year. And as a mom, there isn't much sweeter than seeing how much they love each other. 6. getting to see my best friend for the first time in like 3 years AND see her be sealed to her husband for eternity was incredible ❤️ 7. the cabin trip this summer felt extra sweet. I missed the mountains, and these views. 8. one of our daily walks. 9. the best family photos I'll get. Boston hasn't let go of those sticks since. 10. the one who makes every year amazing 😘
I love motherhood. It is something I'm completely I love motherhood. It is something I'm completely obsessed with. I'm only good at being a mom like 30% of the time. But there is nothing I could accomplish in this world that would be more important to me than the work I do within my home. ❤️ “Through the thick and the thin of this, and through the occasional tears of it all, I know deep down inside I am doing God’s work. I know that in my motherhood I am in an eternal partnership with Him. I am deeply moved that God finds His ultimate purpose and meaning in being a parent, even if some of His children make Him weep." (Jeffrey R. Holland | Because She Is A Mother, April 1997). Daniel and the kids gave me a great Mother's Day. I begged my kids for 1 half decent picture of us all before bedtime, and this is the best they gave me. Probably should have taken the picture while we were still in our nice church clothes, but sweats works too. We at least got 2/3 kids looking so that's kind of a miracle. Happy Mother's Day 🌷🌷
quick little October recap ✨️ some of my favo quick little October recap ✨️ some of my favorite moments: -With Adelyn and Boston both at school now, I get a lot more one on one time with Callen. He gets extra goofy and cute when it's just us. -Boston turned 4! We partied hard. I think we had cake 4 times. He asked for a piñata and a carrot cake. 😂 I love him and his personality. -I got to help out in Adelyn's class a few times! I love getting to pop into her class and see her. Sign me up for all the volunteer days. I want to spend all day with Adelyn. -This was the first Halloween that Callen really understood what was happening. So stinkin' cute. He had a blast! No one cooks in this house without these little ha No one cooks in this house without these little hands joining in. 🩷 I love how much he loves to help. I know it can be frustrating, but the best thing I have done as a mom is welcome the help as often as possible. It usually takes me twice as long to accomplish anything as it normally would. But they are happy helpers, and I love that. Plus, watching these tiny hands try to knead dough is beyond cute 🩷
• T W O • Callen is 2! 💙💙 I actually • T W O • Callen is 2! 💙💙 I actually love the toddler stage, and Callen is an extra fun toddler. He is goofy, helpful, wild, sweet and bold. Everywhere he goes, he has a toy motorcycle or car in one hand. And he's got the best hair in the family by far. It's not even close. He is like a walking bull dozer. He just barrels into each moment of the day. And now that he is as big as Boston, he is getting payback for all the times Boston was mean before. Callen is as thoughtful and generous as they come. Everytime Adelyn or Boston are upset, he runs to grab their favorite blanket amd stuffy for them. He makes sure Adelyn and Boston have been served at meals before he gets his plate. And he is kind of aggressive about sharing sometimes. If I'm cooking, he's grabbing a spatula and pulling up a chair. If I'm on my laptop, he's coming to help me push buttons. If I'm cleaning, he's right at my feet helping. I haven't started the dishwasher on my own in months. The second he hears me grab a dishwasher pod, he books it to the kitchen to help and yells at me if I try to do it without him. It takes me a lot longer to get things done with his help. But he's a happy helper. We're all pretty obsessed with our Cal Pal. 💙 If you got to see his smile and hear his laugh every day, you would be obsessed too. Happy Birthday to our Callen Loaf! 🎉
