Hi everyone! Today I am sharing something so fun!

As many of you know, I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. And I have served in the primary (this is the kids ages 18 months to 11) for years in different wards. Primary is so special to me, and is one of the greatest callings. Right now, I am in the presidency. And instead of doing all of the things that our primary president probably wants me to do, I spend all my time making things look prettier. I should really stop wasting time on these things, but it makes me happy.

Well, we have a couple kids in our primary that will be getting baptized this year. Our primary has a checklist that we give to families when they have a child preparing for baptism. In the past, it was a pretty basic word document. But it looked overwhelming and boring.

So I made it more exciting!

Before this the baptism checklist was a word document that looked a bit messy and overwhelming to me. It wasn’t really organized very well, and it was just boring.

Since I spent all this time making it cute and fun (and turns out, the two kids getting baptized in our primary will be getting baptized over the summer while on vacation). I figured I couldn’t keep it to myself. So I’m sharing it with you!

There are two styles to the checklist. One is temple themed, and the other is rainbow themed. Each has all the baptism checklist items your kids will need.

The checklist is broken down into timeframes. First is listed what they need to do 4-6 weeks before, then 2 weeks before, then the week or day of the baptism. One of the checklists also includes a list of everything they should plan on for their baptism program (prayers, musical numbers, speakers, etc).

And just in case you need to make some tweaks to better fit your primary, I also have a link to the editable Canva template for you!

How To Print It?

You can certainly print this at home. But I have actually found that I prefer printing things like this at Office Depot. I can print it out on nicer paper (without having to buy a whole pack), do color, double side, hole punched. Whatever you like! You may even be able to have it laminated at your local print shop. Plus, the Office Depot near my house can usually have things printed same day, and usually even within a couple hours.

I would recommend laminating, or putting it inside a sheet protector. When you hand it out to your primary kids, give them a dry erase marker and a magnet to go with it, so they can hang it on their fridge while they prepare.

Okay, Where Is The Download?

Alright, I kept you waiting long enough. To download the printable, click on the download button below. The first button is the printable, and the second button is the link to the editable Canva template in case you need to make tweaks for your own primary). Once you’ve downloaded and shared, leave a comment to let me know if it was helpful for your primary class. Or share ideas for what else you need for your primary! I’ve got a few more coming up that I will share in the next few months!

  1. This is great! Thank you so much for sharing. I love the idea of laminating and giving to each kid with a magnet. I did notice a typo that I tried to correct but wasn’t able to. It says (blank) will baptism me instead of baptize me. It says that on both pages.
