Simple and Sweet Valentines Day Gift Ideas For Your Kids

Do you get a gift for your kids for Valentines Day? I love to gift my kids something small and simple on Valentines Day. Some years, I just do a little heart shaped chocolate box, or one of the small Valentines stuffed animals. Other years, it’s something a little more unique. Either way, it’s always simple, sweet, affordable and useful. While I’m trying to decide what to gift my kids this year, I thought I’d make a list of some of the ideas I’ve been brainstorming to help you out to! I’ll probably update this post with more ideas as Valentines Day gets closer.

Let’s get into it!

1. Socks: Okay, I know this doesn’t sound super exciting. But my daughter has been taking my longs socks to wear with her winter boots. So I need to get her her own socks, and she would be so excited for these. The one I linked has tons of different pattern options. They have cats, cars, unicorns, dinosaurs, space and more.
2. Hot Wheels: My boys got a hot wheels track for Christmas, so a couple new cars to race would be so exciting for them.
3. Paw Patrol Stuffies: Anyone else have Paw Patrol obsessed kids? My 2 year old is obsessed with everything Rubble related, and my 4 year old knows everything about every pup on the Paw Patrol. My 2 year old got one of these stuffies from his aunt for Christmas, and I think my other kids are a bit jealous.
4. Playdoh: I want to love playdoh. I really do. My kids love it. So every once in a while, I give it another try. A new little jar of playdoh for each kid would be perfect for Valentines Day!
5. Puzzles: If you have a puzzle lover, a new puzzle would be the perfect simple gift.
6. Coloring Book: I found these Valentines themed coloring books on Amazon. Or you could find some free printable Valentines coloring pages on Pinterest, and include a pack of crayons or markers.
7. Watercolors: My oldest loves any kind of art supplies. She got an easel for Christmas that she uses daily. I only get the “messier” art supplies like paints on special occasions, so a pack of watercolors will feel so special.
8. Necklace Making Kit: My two oldest kids love things like this. My daughter is always making bracelets and necklaces for her friends and family. She’s obsessed.
9. Tie Dye Kit: This in one that could end up being a lot of extra work for you. This is definitely a hands on activity for moms. But super fun for the kids. Get a kit, and a white shirt for everyone. You could also do this a few days before Valentines Day to make a shirt to wear on the day.
10. Bath Tub Finger Paint: I haven’t tried these before, but my kids would go crazy for these.
11. Bath Toys: Most of our bath toys get pretty gross after a few months. Some of them I can run through the dishwasher and clean. But every couple months, I have to toss a few. So bath toys are always a great, useful gift.
12. Yoto Cards: My kids got a Yoto for Christmas, and it has been a huge hit. If your kids also have a Yoto, a new card for each kid would be so fun! I’m thinking of doing a MYO of some Valentines books and songs leading up to Valentines Day.
13. Water Bottle: If your kids also take a water bottle to school and activities, then now would be a great chance to get a new one (or replace it if they’ve already lost theirs).
14. Vinyl Stickers: This would be fun to pair with a water bottle so they can customize it a bit. The ones I linked are Disney themed and come in a big pack. They’d be great to add in with our class Valentines.
15. Pez Candy Dispenser: My kids love Pez! My husband surprises them with one every few months, and it’s one of their favorites. These Valentine themed ones are so cute!
16. Kids Headphones: Okay, these ones come with little cat ears that you can put on or take off. My daughter would be in heaven!
17. Valentines Sunglasses: My kids love sunglasses, but they also break them every summer. So I have to get a new pair for them every year. How cute are these heart ones??
18. Lip Smacker Valentines Day Collection: My daughter is still too young to wear actual makeup, but to her these lip smackers are the next best thing. She loves them.
